Vedic Astrology Explained
Otherwise known as Hindu astrology or Jyotisa, it dates back more than 5000 years.
Vedic astrology is an analysis and forecasting system, based on astronomical data that allows its practitioners to carefully assess and understand behaviour, to measure the effects of the past, the influence of the present and the tendency of events to unfold in the future.
The Vedic system is seen as the most accurate and genuine method in horoscope forecasting today which is why you will find more often than not a Vedic reading is more accurate than your traditional Western astrology forecast. Vedic Astrology is frequently called predictive astrology because of its ability to predict events in life. This ability is due to the refinement in the various systems of the science, and requires significant subtlety of understanding and perception on the part of the practitioner.
Vedic astrology assumes the law of Karma, thus a human exists within certain parameters.
It also puts more emphasis on spiritual development. It is an excellent tool for helping us to understand Karma or life purpose as well as giving us specific timetables for making decisions about career, finances, relationship, health, spiritual growth, etc. It is based on the sidereal zodiac which calculates the positions of the planets according to observable astronomy.
